Why a Master Advocacy Course?
At advanced levels of practice, development is no longer about acquiring more tools or knowkedge. It is about:
-
making sound professional judgements when things are uncertain or ambiguous
-
working with power, culture and systems
-
holding boundaries without losing compassion
-
influencing change without taking on inappropriate responsibility
This course exists to support advocates to practise with authority, clarity and sustainability over the long term.
What makes this course different
This is a practice-led, reflective programme, not a technical training course. It earns the term mastery because it focuses on discernment rather than reactivity; influence rather than effort
stewardship rather than burnout; ethics, values and professional identity
A core feature is the co-designed element of the programme. This is where you are invited to actively use your own experience and insight to identify:
-
where your practice is already strong
-
where you feel stretched or uncertain
-
where you want to develop deeper mastery
This allows the course to respond to the real challenges in the room and to evolve with the group.
